Annual Auction

October 6, 2018: The Sounds of Silence

We're taking the big plunge! When thinking about what would most improve the Arctic Valley experience, one thing came to everyone's mind: make the T-bar quiet! We're working with Superior Tramway on a refurbishment project for summer 2019 to make the T-bar as quiet (or quieter!) than Chair 2. Removing the roar of the open gear drive on this lift will make Arctic Valley a much more peaceful, pleasant experience. We hope you're as excited about this project as we are!

This will be a $75,000-100,000 project, and we're using the Auction as our first fundraiser to work towards that goal. We hope you'll join us in making this huge improvement to Arctic Valley!

Additional Info

The evening will start with the Cynosure Lounge opening at 4:30, offering a hosted selection of Cynosure Brewing beers and appetizers. The Lounge also offers early access to the silent auction items. Lounge tickets are available through advanced online sale only.

The silent auction bidding begins at 5:00pm. Enjoy appetizers, beer, and wine while bidding on sports gear, clothing, artwork, gift certificates and other unique items. There will be three auction sections, each closing 20 minutes apart. The first section closes at 6:00, so be sure to be there when the doors open!

Dinner will be served at 7pm, after the last silent auction table has closed. Peppercini's will be catering dinner this year - this year they've prepared a custom traditional menu for us! We'll have a selection of fine local beers, and wine available with dinner.

At 7:30 the winner of the raffle will be drawn. The prize is any item from the live auction catalog! Afterwards the live auction will start, followed by the dessert auction.

Come and experience the greatest untracked powder of your life and escape the hassles, crowds, traffic and lift lines of the resorts with our heli skiing experiences. You’ll find yourself awed with the scale and beauty of the majestic mountains of Alaska, where pristine powder and seemingly unlimited terrain are waiting just for you!

Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be an expert to enjoy heli skiing or heli boarding. We cater to strong intermediate through expert skiers and riders, and we welcome first time heli skiers and boarders. All you need is a good attitude, respect for the mountains, and to arrive in ski shape. Your ability level should be strong intermediate or better, and have some experience with off-piste conditions.
