Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of Members of the Anchorage Ski Club, Inc. (ASC) is held each spring at the Alpenglow Lodge at the Arctic Valley Ski Area. The purpose of this meeting is to allow the Board of Directors to report on the business and affairs of the corporation for the current year, elect directors for expiring Board positions, and to transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

The 2024 meeting will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 6:30pm.

Each year there are five seats on the Board of Directors that have expiring terms. The ASC Board of Directors endorses candidates as presented by the Nominating Committee as qualified to serve on the Board. At the Annual Meeting, nominations for directors may be made from the floor by any ASC member.  Board candidates must be current members of the Anchorage Ski Club in good standing.

The ASC Bylaws provide that votes may be cast in person or by proxy. Members 18 years of age or older in good standing 30 days prior to any election will be entitled to vote. Proxy votes may be exercised if the proxy is in writing, signed by the member, and dated within the past year. Valid proxies are to be used and exercised at ASC meetings for the purposes of establishing a quorum and casting a vote on any matter that is presented to the membership for and on behalf of the grantor. Incomplete proxies shall be counted for purposes of a quorum only.

A proxy is enclosed with the notice of meeting which may be mailed to Anchorage Ski Club, Inc. Elections Committee, P.O. Box 200546, Anchorage, AK 99520-0546. Alternatively, any member of the club may deliver your proxy to the Elections Committee at the meeting.

We will have proxies available in the ski lodge up until election day. You can cast your vote into a secure voting box ahead of time. Early voting is highly encouraged.
