Wedding Venue Host & Barista (full time, seasonal: late May-early October)
Lift Operator – On Call Summer Season

Arctic Valley Ski Area is seeking a wedding venue host for the summer season. You’ll work in the beautiful Chugach Mountains above Anchorage, ensuring our wedding guests have an unforgettable experience, selling coffee drinks and snacks out of our café, and monitoring compliance with trailhead user fees.

We’re looking for a reliable, self-motivated, cheerful person who likes meeting new people and has the attention to detail to make sure our guests’ events go off as planned. Barista training is available.

Wedding duties include cleaning and setting up the venue, answering questions, resolving concerns, and general customer service. In our cafe, we sell basic espresso drinks, pre-packaged snacks, and non-alcoholic packaged drinks. 

This position’s schedule is Wednesday-Sunday. Shifts are afternoons and evenings, with many events extending past midnight. Some overtime is required, and most work weeks will be about 40 hours. Pay is $18/hour, plus tips. Position will start in late May, and extend through early October. Modified schedules (eg weekends only) are available for applicants with school schedules at the beginning and end of the season.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be able to safely work on ladders,  have dexterity in their fingers and hands, be capable of occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs, be able to stand and walk regularly, and verbally communicate and hear using a phone and two-way radio.

Arctic Valley Ski Area is hiring on-call lift operators for the summer season. These positions assist with running the chairlift for weddings and our summer public hiking days. Employees also assist with setting up and tearing down weddings. No previous experience is required. 

Pay is $18/hr with a guaranteed minimum of 6 hours. Most shifts are Saturdays and Sundays, with a few weekdays thrown in. Employees do not need to be available for all shifts, but should be regularly available on weekends.
