Arctic Valley Ski Area is hiring an entry-level Lift & Groomer Mechanic. This is a full-time, year-round position. Typical schedule is Wednesday-Sunday, but may shift to 4-10s in the summer when the operational schedule allows.

Responsibilities include maintaining ski lifts and other equipment in accordance with Arctic Valley’s periodic maintenance schedule, performing repairs on ski lifts, keeping maintenance and operations records, performing regular maintenance and repairs on snow groomers and other equipment, responding to inquiries from operations, and other duties as assigned.

Pay is $20/hour, plus a free shift meal when the ski area is open, and hot drinks.

Previous experience with ski lifts, industrial machinery, electrical equipment, or heavy equipment is preferred. Ability to work at heights on lift towers in all weather conditions is required. This position requires mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting. Applicants must be advanced skiers or snowboarders.

Reliable, winter-ready transportation is a requirement. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and will undergo a background check.

Arctic Valley Ski Area is hiring on-call lift operators for the summer season. These positions assist with running the chairlift for weddings and our summer public hiking days. Employees also assist with setting up and tearing down weddings. No previous experience is required. 

Pay is $18/hr with a guaranteed minimum of 6 hours. Most shifts are Saturdays and Sundays, with a few weekdays thrown in. Employees do not need to be available for all shifts, but should be regularly available on weekends. 

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be able to safely work on ladders,  have dexterity in their fingers and hands, be capable of occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs, be able to stand and walk regularly, and verbally communicate and hear using a phone and two-way radio.
