Anchorage Ski Club

Founded in 1937, the Anchorage Ski Club is a volunteer-run 501(c)3 nonprofit that operates the Arctic Valley Ski Area and Alpenglow Lodge.  Our organization is run almost entirely by volunteers and our operations are paid for by membership dues, lodge rentals, lift tickets, and the generous support of our community through grants and donations. We strive to keep our prices reasonable so that everyone can enjoy the mountain. We work closely with other non-profits and community organizations to provide access to healthy winter and summer recreation in an alpine environment for people of all abilities.

The purposes for which ASC exists are: To provide facilities and infrastructure for, and access to, recreational and educational opportunities within the alpine environment of Chugach State Park, to promote interest, education and participation in outdoor recreation in the State of Alaska.

The Anchorage Ski Club Board of Directors consists of 15 volunteer directors who are elected for a 3-year term.

Volunteers

Volunteers are critical to the operation and management of Arctic Valley. We have the need for a variety of skills from marketing and design to shoveling snow and lift maintenance. For more information on volunteer opportunities and benefits, please visit our Volunteers page….

Membership

We invite you support our efforts by becoming a member of the Anchorage Ski Club. In return you’ll be eligible for discounted lift and tubing tickets, discounts on our public use cabin, and you will help preserve this resource for future generations! Annual memberships are valid November 1 – October 31.
