Arctic Valley Ski Area and the Anchorage Ski Club are recruiting candidates for our Board of Directors. The Board of Directors oversees operations, provides guidance, and strategic planning for Arctic Valley Ski Area. This is an exciting time for Arctic Valley – we are on the cusp of having a long term concession agreement which will allow us to make larger investments and fully realize Arctic Valley’s potential as Anchorage’s premier year round gateway to Chugach State Park.
We are particularly looking for candidates with experience in marketing and fundraising. The election will take place in early-mid April at Arctic Valley Ski Area. Candidates should plan to attend at least one Board of Directors meeting in February or March. Candidates must be able to regularly attend BOD meetings (second Wednesday of every month in the evening), review meeting materials in advance of the meeting, be a current member of the Anchorage Ski Club, and serve on Board committees. Candidates must notify the BOD that they wish to be considered at least 45 days prior to the election.
