Merry Marmot – April 11 2026

Join us to celebrate spring with our annual Merry Marmot Festival on April 11th! We’ll have activities, live music, fresh local beer, and great food.

2026 Tickets & Registration

Merry Marmot is a free event for spectators! For participants, adults and youth 13+pay $25, kids 12 & under are $15, and season pass holders and life members are free. All participants need to complete a waiver.

2026 Schedule

  • 10:30am: Social Media Scavenger Hunt (whole mountain)
  • 10:30pm-5:00pm: Banked Slalom (not timed, just run it for fun) – In Brandy’s Bowl & down Shooter, skiers left off of the T-Bar
  • 11:00am: “The Big Climb” Fat Tire Bike Race (see below for add’l info)
  • 12:30pm: “Irish Downhill” Fat Tire Bike Race (see below for add’l info)
  • 1:00pm-3:00pm: Dual Slalom Race: Make as many runs as you want! Combined best run from both Red and Blue courses will be your result. Awards are male/female U6-16 age groups, coaches, parents, most runs, and best costume – Courses will be looker’s right of the T-bar starting between Tower 3 & Tower 4.
  • 3:30pm: Snow tubing races – In the tube park (no ski boots allowed)
  • 5:00pm: Politically Correct Mass-Start Downhill – Top of T-Bar
  • 5:30pm: Costume Contest! Prizes! – Behind the lodge outside the back of Afterglow Bar
  • 6:00pm: Trash Bag Race – Behind the lodge
  • 6:30pm: Dummy Launch! Prizes! (free event) – Behind the lodge

2026 Food: Peppercini’s

  • Taco Bar: 5-6:30pm. Each taco bar ticket includes a beverage ticket – either alcoholic or non-alcoholic.
  • Adults: $24
  • Kids (under 13): $18
  • Menu: Corn & flour tortillas, chicken, ground beef, refried beans (vegetarian), Spanish rice, Juanita’s tortilla chips, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese, onions, shredded lettuce and jalapeños.
  • Please note: the kitchen will close at 3:30pm to prepare for the taco bar

2026 Bike Race Info

  • The Big Climb: This race starts above the lodge, descends towards the old military ski area, then turns and climbs back uphill, past the lodge, and follows the valley up past the tube park and Chair 2 all the way to the saddle overlooking South Fork of Eagle River. This is about 1000′ of climbing over 2.25 miles.
  • Irish Downhill: Start at the saddle (finish of the The Big Climb race) and descend almost 800′ to the tube park in just over a mile. This is all downhill – it’s a fast, exciting race!
  • Cost is included in the Merry Marmot registration fee
